Q: Do I have a blog? Where is it?

Of course! Every member of TurkFriends.com has his or her own page on that network, including a blog. To get to your blog, click on the My Page tab. Click on the "My Blog" link just under the My Page tab:

You can add a blog post by clicking on the "Add Blog Post" link. Once you write the first entry in your blog, this link will remain on the top right of the page.

Q: How can I start a discussion?

Click on "Forum" tab on the top and then click on "Start a Discussion" link located on the top right.

Q: How do I invite someone to a network?

It’s easy to invite people to TurkFriends.com! Begin by clicking on the Invite tab. This will present you with a number of different ways to invite friends and contacts to the network. You can add friends by manually typing in email addresses, importing your contacts from Yahoo, MSN, Gmail or AOL, and importing contacts from your computer’s address book or simply sending around an invitation link.

Q: How can I set my privacy settings?

After signing in with your user name, click on "my settings" in the upper right menu. Then select "privacy" from the left menu. Then you can set privacy options on who can view your photos, videos, read and comment on your blogs, and see your comment wall.

Q: I know very good markets, restaurants, doctors etc. and I would love to share it with you, what should I do?

At this point, this process is taken care of manually. Please click on the "Contact Us" link at the top and fill out our contact form and let us know the name address and type of the business and we will publish it on our site.

Q: I am having technical problems or I have site useage issues, who should I contact?

Please click on the "Contact Us" link at the top and fill out our contact form and give us as much detail as possible and we will do our best to fix the issue.

Q: How do I change my profile photo?

Log in to the network and click the “My Settings” link on the right side of the page. Hit the blue/green photo icon in the “Your Photo” section. Click the “Browse” button under the Profile Photo field to locate an image on your computer and press “Done.” When you upload a new photo, the old one will be deleted.

Q: Does TurkFriends.com have a Facebook application. How do I use it?

Excellent question. Yes, we do. It is our first Facebook Application. More to come. If you would like to promote your network on your Facebook page then please click on this link and follow the instructions.

Q: I want to promote TurkFriends.com to everyone I know because I want my community to grow?

Q: I want to take things one step further and donate money for your services?

Woww, that is very nice of you. Although we are not doing this for money, we have tons of expenses, keep in mind that every photo that has been uploaded to the site gets back to us as a monthly expense. We would love to get some support, so we opened up a PayPal account. Any major credit card is supported. Please click on the link below for donations.

Q: How do I delete my TurkFriends.com Account?

If you simply wish to remove yourself from our network, just sign in and click the My Settings link on the right side of the page. Click the link that says "Leave TurkFriends". Your profile and all of the content you have added to the network will be removed.

Q: How can I search for friends that are already members of your site?

Click on the "Members" link at the top. You will see a search box where you may search members.

Q: How can I view my profile page as others see it? Currently, I see all my private info here (birthday etc.)?

Any private info that has a "lock" icon next to it is not visible to public...

Q: How can I advertise on your site?

We are still an infant site and at this point we do not have a set rate sheet or ad terms etc. so just casually contact us but our policy may change in the future. Just use our "Contact Us" link located at the top to contact us.
